Till Death Do Us Part
Over 80 images tell the intimate journey of my parents final year. Mounted on aluminum panel, the exhibition is a fresh look at end of life love relationships and the elegant age of 89. In addition to the framed pieces the exhibition included
-
an installation of ‘furniture’ made from boxes of incontinent pads
-
sympathy card text compilations installed in gallery windows
- wall paper transcribed from the sympathy cards
-
a collage-print-turned tabletop to allow viewers to reflect
-
a stereoscope series capturing intimate medical moments
-
a timeline of text communications between myself and her siblings that became a short film
Ditched
The interactive exhibition includes over 20 large scale topological collages containing images of trash from the lakefront. Images from series Contemporary Archeology add to the exhibition enlarging the visual of the artifacts. The exhibition also includes artifacts from the lakefront.
Off the Grid
“Off the Grid” is a series of light-hearted vignettes created from individual photographs of debris collected from the Trinity River watershed near Fort Worth, TX. Originally many of these photographs were used in the creation of the grids featured in the project “Ditched”.
Images are exhibited in a variety of ways inspired by the creativity of the images and the venue. “Ditched” grids often accompany the vignettes in exhibition. Vignettes are often exhibited in 12″ matted frames, mounted to aluminum substrate or wall vinyls.
